When you are trying to eliminate unwanted body fat, don't listen to other people's opinions. Many people you know, such as your co-workers, friends, or relatives, will see that you are trying to live a healthy lifestyle to lose weight and comment on what you're doing.

You may receive frustrating comments from people that will make or break you, such as:

  • "You're losing too much weight."
  • "You look fine the way you are now."
  • "You need to eat."
  • "Why do you want to lose weight?"
  • "You're obsessed about your weight."
  • "You think you're too good to eat this."
  • "Are you not happy with yourself?"
  • "You don't have any weight to lose."
  • "Don't lose too much."

These comments can make you or break you, meaning they can either make you succeed or fail in achieving your goal. Such comments can break you. For instance, if someone says to you, "You're losing too much weight," and you have a great relationship with this person, it may cause you to think twice about whether or not you should lose weight. These comments can prevent you from reaching your goal, and my best advice is:

  1. Do what's best for you.
  2. It's your life, not theirs.

DO WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU

When you decide that you want to lose weight, there is a reason behind it that matters. Many people lose weight to become the best version of themselves to love and feel comfortable with their bodies. It's about doing what's best for you, your health, and your future.

IT'S YOUR LIFE, NOT THEIRS

Losing weight is very personal. This is something you deal with to make you better than who you are now. If you want a healthier lifestyle to help you lose weight, then go for it. You're the only one that can decide how you want your future. Comments from other people should not dictate how you should live your life and what you should or should not do. It's your life, your decisions, not theirs.

You will not receive negative comments from everybody. There will also be people who will say positive comments like:

  • "I didn't even recognize you."
  • "You look wonderful."
  • "You're doing great."

These comments will encourage you to continue to do what you are doing to achieve your goal, but it's up to you to decide what's best for you.
